TORONTO (KKTV) - In a thrilling game 7, the Los Angeles Dodgers were able to claim the title of World Series champions again, beating the Toronto Blue Jays.
The team announced the back-to-back title on social media seconds after the 11-inning game.
They won the game 5-4 on a solo home run from Will Smith at the top of the inning. According to the New York Times, this was the third World Series Game 7 to go to at least 11 innings, with the other two being in 1924 and 1997.
They also report LA being the first team to repeat the victory two years in a row since the New York Yankees, who won three straight from 1998 to 2000.
