The confetti has fallen on the 2025 MLB season, as the Los Angeles Dodgers complete a Game 7 comeback for the ages, and claim their second straight World Series championship over the American League-champion Toronto Blue Jays .

The star-studded Dodgers lineup -- featuring Shohei Ohtani , Mookie Betts and more -- will return as the favorites to win the 2026 World Series, followed by the New York Yankees , Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies . The Blue Jays open at 20-1, tied with the Chicago Cubs for 11th.

The Seattle Mariners , American League runners-up, open at 14-1 and the Milwaukee Brewers , who had the league's best record in 2025, open at 18-1.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies open at 500-1.
