A 37-year-old man was charged today with the attempted murder of a 39-year-old man who was found lying on the ground in Kapolei with multiple stab wounds Sept. 6.

Juan Anthony German was charged with second-degree attempted murder and his bail set at $500,000.

The victim was found at about 1:29 a.m. Sept. 6 near the intersection of Manawai Street and Kapolei Parkway. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Detectives later identified German as the suspect and District 8 Crime Reduction Unit officers assisted with his arrest Thursday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder. An arrest log shows he lives at 91-1096 Yorktown St., the location of the Kumuhonua Transitional Living Center for the homeless or people at-risk for homelessness in Kapolei.
