TORONTO, ON —

Former Kentucky Country Day and UofL star Will Smith delivered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to propel the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-4 win over Toronto in Game Seven of the World Series.

In a drama-filled game, the Dodgers fell behind 3-0 on Bo Bichette's home run for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the third.

The Dodgers did not tie the game until Miguel Rojas hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth. That tied it at 4 and sent it to extras. Rojas and Andy Pages also had dramatic defensive plays in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.

"You dream of those moments, extra innings, to put your team ahead, I'll remember it forever," Smith told FOX after the game.

It is the third World Series title for Smith with the Dodgers.
