AMHERST, Mass. – A pair of power-play goals proved to be the difference as No. 13 University of Massachusetts hockey dropped the second game of its weekend set against No. 20 Cornell, 3-1 on Saturday at the Mullins Center. The loss leaves the Minutemen at 6-3-0 on the year, while the Big Red improve to 1-1-0.
“I thought tonight was almost the exact opposite of last night,” said UMass head coach Greg Carvel. “Last night, we were better on the special teams.
