The UC Bearcats split their preseason games, but it's for real when they open with Western Carolina Nov. 3.

Guard Day Day Thomas is the Bearcats only player who is back from last season with extensive playing time.

After an exhilarating exhibition at Michigan, the Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team struggled at Arkansas. Neither game counts, but if you were worked up into a lather, UC could maybe get it out of your system with a solid regular-season opener Monday, Nov. 3 at Fifth Third Arena against Western Carolina.

To rehash, UC defeated preseason No. 7 Michigan 100-98 Oct. 17, then were paddled by No. 14 Arkansas 89-61 a week later.
