Police are hunting for a Warwickshire conman who defrauded victims of £100,000 through dodgy building jobs. Kristien Hunt was recently convicted at Warwick Crown Court .

Hunt, 47, from Studley, and Steven Fidler, from Hockley Heath, scammed 11 people in the Midlands between November 2019 and December 2021. Customers had been quoted for building or decorating jobs.

Victims made payments to Hunt and Fidler, but the jobs were either left unfinished or completed to a poor standard. When they complained, the dodgy pair reportedly disappeared.

Hunt and Fidler took on multiple projects simultaneously, then provided excuses for why they could not complete the jobs. Sometimes they blamed the COVID-19 lockdown and on other occasions they falsely claimed that a family member had died.
