PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 13-year-old boy has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Southeast Portland on Friday night.

Portland Police responded to an accident near SE Hawthorne Blvd and SE 22nd at around 7:45 p.m.

The boy was taken to the hospital with injuries that appear to be potentially life-threatening, according to PPB.

While the boy’s long-term condition is unknown, medical staff at the hospital were reportedly able to stabilize him.

The driver is not being charged or ticketed in connection with the incident. There was no indication of intoxication being a factor in the crash, according to investigators.
