A shark advice warning was issued on Sunday after a whale carcass was spotted at a local beach.
Mandurah beachgoers are being urged to take care in local waters after a whale carcass was seen at the southern end of White Hills Beach on Saturday evening.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development warns that there is a chance the carcass could attract sharks closer to the shoreline.
DPIRD are urging people to take extra care in the water and say any shark sightings should be reported to Water Police on 9442 8600.
