Ruth E. (Eldridge) Mercado Schenectady - Ruth E. (Eldridge) Mercado, 82, of Schenectady, passed away October 27, 2025 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Niskayuna, NY on July 1, 1943, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Bernice (Good) Eldridge. Ruth is survived by Vicente Mercado, her husband of 35+ years. She was a Mount Pleasant High School graduate and lifelong area resident. She enjoyed a 25+ year career as a nursing assistant and activities coordinator at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center in Schenectady, where she loved working with and taking care of the residents. Ruth will always be remembered for all the love and support she provided for her family and friends.
