Perth Wildcats coach John Rillie has lamented his team’s inability to look after the ball after they gave up 20 turnovers during their five-point loss to South East Melbourne Phoenix on Sunday.
The Wildcats entered the game knowing the Phoenix were going to apply immense pressure, but they couldn’t find a way to get through their intense style and lost 94-89 at John Cain Arena.
Rillie said the team tried to do too much at times.
“We were just too loose in some moments. Sometimes you just need the simple play instead of exploring fishing and those type of things. Just move the ball and give it a chance,” he said.
