The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch India’s heaviest communication satellite, GSAT-7R (CMS-03), on Sunday.

The launch of the Indian Navy’s 4,400-kg communication satellite is scheduled for 5:26 pm from the second launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

In a statement, the Indian Navy said, “This satellite is India’s heaviest communication satellite to date, weighing more than 4,400 kg, and includes many indigenous, state-of-the-art components developed specifically to meet the Indian Navy’s operational requirements.”

The satellite GSAT 7R (CMS-03) would significantly enhance Navy’s communications and strengthen its operational capabilities.
