Newfoundland and Labrador's oldest publishing house is starting a new chapter in Downtown St. John's, more than a decade after a fire closed the book on their previous location.
After operating on Stamps Lane for years, Breakwater Books president and publisher Rebecca Rose said the business is ready to return downtown. On Saturday they marked the grand opening of their new location on Duckworth Street.
"This is where we really kind of started, this is where we were best known," Rose told CBC Radio's .
"It's really important to be in the downtown."
Breakwater had operated in the downtown core for decades before a fire destroyed their building in 2010.
