The Pune city police have booked nine people, including jailed gangster Suryakant alias Bandu Andekar, in connection with the murder on Saturday of an autorickshaw driver whose brother is an accused in the murder of former corporator Vanraj Andekar.
The police said Ganesh Kisan Kale, 30, was shot dead by four motorcycle-borne people near Khadi Machine Chowk in Kondhwa in the afternoon. His brother Sam, alias Sameer Kale, is one of the accused in the murder of Vanraj Andekar, son of Bandu Andekar, who is the leader of the Andekar gang.
Ganesh’s father Kisan Dhondiba Kale, a resident of Shivkrupa building in Yewalewadi, Kondhwa Budruk, got an FIR registered at the Kondhwa police station in connection with the murder.
