CANTON − A 32-year-old bicyclist who was seriously hurt shortly after midnight Oct. 31 when he was struck by a vehicle has died from his injuries, the Stark County Coroner's Office said.
Timothy Coverdale of Canton was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. Oct. 31 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital's intensive care unit, said Harry Campbell, the coroner's chief investigator.
He suffered massive traumatic injuries to his head, neck and torso, the coroner's office said.
Campbell said Coverdale had worked the night of Oct. 30 at a plastics manufacturing plant in Jackson Township. He was biking home from work, going south on Whipple Avenue on the boundary of Perry Township.
