The Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series win over the Toronto Blue Jays was supposed to be a celebration of one of the greatest comebacks in modern baseball. Instead, a postgame comment from Baltimore Orioles legend Caleb Joseph stole some of the spotlight and led to severe backlash from Dodgers fans.
After the Dodgers clinched back-to-back championships with a dramatic 5-4 win in Game 7, the former Orioles catcher said that the LA were not the deserving winners.
“It’s gonna sound like sour grapes, and I don’t really give a sh*t. I think the better team did not win this series,” Joseph said on Sportsnet’s post-game show.
