A teenage boy has been charged in connection with the death of his grandmother

Ollie Hamilton, 73, was found dead inside her local church in Athens, Ga., on Oct. 29

A Georgia woman was allegedly killed by her teenage grandson inside her local church.

The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Smith Chapel Holiness Church in Athens in Monroe County, per The Monroe Journal , The Independent and WTVA .

Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley said the victim was 73-year-old Ollie Hamilton, according to The Monroe Journal. Police responded to a 911 call at about 5:45 p.m. local time, per Gurley. They subsequently found the victim in an area that led to the church ki
