GRETNA, Fla. (WCTV) - One person is dead and four others are hurt in Gretna after a shooting at a memorial for a murder victim, according to police.
The Gretna Police Department said people were gathered for the memorial on Beech Avenue just after 9 p.m. Saturday. Officials reported “multiple suspects” approached the crowd and started shooting.
Four people had minor injuries, according to GPD. The fifth person was seriously hurt and later died at the hospital.
Gretna Police said they are working with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, and FDLE will lead the investigation. Officials have not released suspect information.
