The border town of Hahim, where Assam meets Meghalaya, came alive with the spirit of sportsmanship and unity as the Late Majorsing R. Marak Memorial Football Tournament concluded on a grand note. Organised by the Hahim Regional Garo Students’ Union, the annual tournament once again transformed the Assam–Meghalaya frontier into a vibrant stage of friendship, competition, and cultural exchange.

The final match, held at the Hahim High School playground, was inaugurated by noted social worker Gancheng B. Sangma, who hailed the event as a beacon of inter-state harmony and an example of how football continues to strengthen bonds between neighbouring communities.
