The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday, November 2, successfully launched the communication satellite CMS-03 aboard the LVM3-M5 rocket. The liftoff occurred at 5:26 pm after a smooth countdown, with all systems nominal and weather conditions favourable. The launch took place from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

The mission marks another major achievement for India’s space program, demonstrating the country’s growing capabilities in heavy-lift launches. CMS-03 is the first satellite weighing over 4,000 kg to be launched into a distant geosynchronous transfer orbit from Indian soil.
