For the second year the Beautiful Lives Project hosted an inclusive pickleball event in Meriden.

“We work with people of all abilities, all ages,” said Executive Director Tony Gionfriddo. “When you say inclusive, being a part of a sports, being a part of a team, that’s inclusiveness.”

The event invited people living with disabilities to Club Pickleball for a chance to learn the sport and socialize.

“I saw it on the news this morning and we said let’s go,” said Ingrid Marschner who brought her daughter Paige with her from Cheshire. “It was so welcoming, and we met some other people here. We have new friends now, so we love it.”

Marissa Inglis also came with her mom and participated in the event.
