CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio –

Fraud, Bell Street:

A local business owner reported 1:12 p.m. Oct. 22 that an unknown person copied one of her business checks and attempted to cash it for $32,657.14. Key Bank stopped payment prior to the transfer of funds and advised the complainant to file a report to document the incident.

Lost property, Lyndale Drive:

A woman contacted police 10 a.m. Oct. 19 to report she had misplaced her medicine. An officer filed her report.

Fraud, Bell Street:

Shortly after noon Oct. 22 a concerned woman visited the police station to file a report for suspected fraud. After investigating, police determined the man she had spoken to was legitimate and did not commit any type of criminal offense.
