LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Police say a teen girl was critically injured in a crash near UofL’s campus Saturday night.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called to the 2000 block of South Third Street, south of Brandeis Avenue and near Unity Place on campus, around 5:20 p.m. Saturday on a report of a car crash.
During investigations, officers determined that the car was going south on Third Street when it began to have mechanical issues. Both the driver and passenger jumped out of the car as it was moving.
The passenger of the vehicle, believed to be a teenage girl, was pinned between the car and a tree. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that police described as critical and life-threatening.
