A school bus crash shut down part of Hwy. 401 near London on Sunday morning as Ontario Provincial Police set up an emergency headquarters where parents could pick up passengers who were aboard.

It was shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday when the OPP announced the single-vehicle crash involving a school bus had closed the westbound lanes of the 401 at Westchester Bourne, east of London. Police said ramps were also closed at Veterans Memorial Parkway.

It was unclear what caused the single-vehicle crash, how many people were aboard or the extent of any injuries. Photos by CTV London showed the bus in a grassy area beside the highway, laying on its entry-door side.
