The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series with an instant classic Game 7 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night. After the game, David Ortiz wondered if it’s time to start talking about the back-to-back champions as a dynasty.
“The Dodgers are building up a dynasty,” Ortiz said during Fox’s post-game coverage. “I mean, you can’t get a better ballclub than the one they have had for the past five-six years.”
The Dodgers have made 13 straight playoff appearances, exceeding 90 wins each season aside from a pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign that ended in a Dodgers championship. Ortiz’s former Boston Red Sox teammate, Dave Roberts, has led Los Angeles to five National League pennants in 10 seasons as manager.
