COVENTRY — No. 6 Chariho rallied to tie its quarterfinal game at 1-1 in the second half and following a pair of overtimes advanced to the RIIL Division 2 semifinals with a 5-3 victory on penalty-kicks over No. 3 Coventry on Saturday.

The Chargers (10-8-3) will host No. 10 Tiverton on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the semifinals.

The winner will meet either No. 8 Mt. Hope or No.4 North Providence for the D2 championship on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Rhode Island College. Mt. Hope ousted No.1 seed East Greenwich, 1-0, in the quarterfinals.
