ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Atlanta is about to “come together” for one of the biggest musical events of the year!

Sir Paul McCartney, the legendary Beatle himself, is back in town for two shows at State Farm Arena on Sunday and Monday night — his first Atlanta performance in nearly a decade. At 83, it could be one of the last chances local fans have to see the music icon live.

For lifelong Beatles fan and Atlanta musician Kenny Howes, McCartney’s return is more than a concert. It’s a full-circle moment.

“I’ve been a musician for over 45 years, and most of that time I’ve also been a Beatles fan,” he said. “For me personally, the Beatles, and Paul McCartney especially, were a tremendous influence.”
