OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. - A pedestrian was killed on State Route 97 on Saturday at around 7:11 p.m. after being hit by multiple cars.
According to a press release from Washington State Patrol, a pedestrian was in the northbound lane of State Route 97 near mile post 265 "for an unknown reason," when they were hit by a car.
The first car came to a stop along the shoulder. Two more cars drove through, both also hitting the pedestrian, who died at the scene.
WSP said drugs or alcohol were involved, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
