Security has been tightened in Pakistan after the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) threatened to attack urban centres, according to sources. As part of the security measures, additional checkpoints and drone surveillance points have been set up.
In October, a TTP spokesperson had issued public warnings via Telegram and Pashto media outlets and said retaliatory strikes will happen on major Pakistani cities including Lahore.
According to top TTP sources, the TTP is with the Pakistan government and want to tell the state authority that the country is out of control.
“TTP is upset due to refugee crises in Pakistan where lakhs of refugees have been deported and their settlements have been attacked by the Forces in Karachi and Lahore," they said.
Any successful strike
