Karoline Leavitt Insists Trump Needs Filibuster Abolished to Deal With ‘Crazed’ Democrats

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fully supported President Donald Trump’s call to abolish the filibuster during an appearance on Fox News on Sunday morning, saying it was necessary to avoid future government shutdowns and the need to deal with Democratic lawmakers, who she said are “crazed people.”

Leavitt shared her thoughts on the matter during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Bartiromo, in her first question, asked Leavitt if the president had talked to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), after a rep for Thune said he is not in favor of getting rid of the filibuster.
