WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The 29th Masonic District in Westfield held a special commemoration on Sunday morning to honor America's Revolutionary Patriots as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

The event focused on commemorating the contributions of Freemason patriots like Colonel Henry Knox, who played a significant role in the American Revolution by transporting artillery from Fort Ticonderoga through western Massachusetts.

"We are commemorating Freemason patriots, as in Colonel Henry Knox and his noble train of artillery who went through this area," said Joe Fournier, a brother at Mount Moriah Lodge in Westfield.
