Journalists with CBC Edmonton won four national awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Canada. The awards were presented Saturday night at a gala in Toronto.

CBC Edmonton staff won a Breaking News award in the digital category, a Continuing Coverage award in the multiplatform category and in Opinion — as well as an Excellence in Editing award in the audio category.

“It's always thrilling to be recognized. These awards represent the breadth and quality of the journalism being done in our newsroom,” said Stephanie Coombs, CBC Edmonton's director of journalism and programming.

The awards honour the best journalists, programs, stations and news-gathering organizations in television, radio and digital media.
