Hundreds of Carl’s Jr. locations across Southern California are offering one-dollar meals to families impacted by the ongoing federal government shutdown, officials confirmed to KTLA.
Starting Nov. 1, participating restaurants operated by Akash Management LLC — a major Carl’s Jr. franchise group with nearly 300 locations in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire — started providing a Kids Hamburger, Small Fry and Kids Drink for just $1 to qualifying guests.
The initiative is meant to ease financial strain on local families and government workers during the shutdown, franchise owner and CEO Amir Siddiqi said.
