LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville football team rose two spots to No. 14 in the latest Associated Press Top 25, while Indiana held at No. 2 behind top-ranked Ohio State.
Louisville (7-1, 4-1) used a second-half comeback to beat Virginia Tech 28-16 on the road. They now sit two spots behind Virginia, the team that handed them their only loss.
It’s Louisville’s highest national ranking since it was No. 9 in the poll on Nov. 26, 2023.
Indiana (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) fell behind 3-0 at Maryland, then hit the gas to run away for a 55-10 victory.
The Hoosiers will travel to Penn State (3-5, 0-5) next Saturday. Louisville returns home to face California (5-4, 2-3)
