For six weeks in November and December, 16 wooded acres in Hammond transform into a 16th-century London hamlet called Albright. This year marks 25 years of Louisiana Renaissance Festival revelry in those woods.
A walk through the gates at the Renaissance Festival transports visitors into a world of fairies, knights, queens, troubadours, falconers, jesters and artisans.
Each weekend from Nov. 1 to Dec. 7, the Louisiana Renaissance Festival is the destination to leave all worries behind, become immersed in the medieval experience, engage with vaudevillian entertainers and discover high-quality crafted goods. The village of Albright hosts more than 600 artisans, entertainers and demonstrations to usher visitors back in time to the 16th century.
