COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Every fall, devoted stargazers hope to see a meteor, and possibly a fireball, shoot across the night sky during the Taurids Meteor Shower. This meteor shower consists of two streams - the Northern Taurids Meteor Shower and the Southern Taurids Meteor Shower.

Both streams are happening now with the Southern Taurids Meteor Shower reaching its peak this week.

Here’s how to catch it! The best viewing time Tuesday night will be around or shortly after midnight. Get away from city lights as much as possible. Allow at least 30 minutes for your eyes adjust to the dark.
