A passenger received a touching note from a mystery bus driver admitting the tough reality of the job.

A passenger, who does not wish to be identified, shared the note passed to them as they got off a Bee Network bus on the Stockport Road route.

The passenger sent the note to the Manchester Evening News to publish to 'express their deep appreciation for the bus driver, and his polite and decent approach'.

"In October, my sister and I took the bus to reach a destination and requested two one-way tickets from the driver," said the passenger.

"As I was getting off the bus, the driver kindly handed me a thank-you note in appreciation of showing respect, which I found it to be a very thoughtful and admirable gesture."
