Father Time catches up with all of us at one time or another. We lose a step, get a little weaker or our reflexes aren’t as quick as they were five years ago. Our drives at the golf course are 15-20 yards shorter. It happens to everyone. But this article is not about the average person participating in sports. This is about what Father Time does to professional athletes.

The average playing career for an NFL player is 3.3 years. An NFL running back lasts two to three years. A defensive lineman 3.6, a quarterback 4.4 years. Okay, its a violent sport.
