The second edition of the Kashmir Marathon 2025 was flagged off in Srinagar on Sunday by Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of participants from across India and abroad, transforming the scenic Boulevard Road by Dal Lake into a vibrant celebration of fitness and unity.

The marathon commenced at 6 a.m. from Polo View, with hundreds of runners sprinting along the iconic lakeside route. Organised jointly by the Department of Tourism, Kashmir, and the J&K Sports Council, the event featured multiple race categories including the full marathon (42 km), half marathon (21 km), and shorter distance runs for amateur participants.
