LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Greenbrier County man was arrested early Friday morning following a domestic disturbance that unfolded on Washington Street near Court Street in downtown Lewisburg.
According to a report from the Lewisburg Police Department, officers were dispatched around midnight after a 911 caller reported a possible domestic incident. When officers arrived, they found a woman — later identified as the victim— sitting on the ground, crying and struggling to breathe, surrounded by several bystanders.
Officers quickly detained the suspect, identified as Travis Cossey, while Patrolman Thomas checked on the victim and placed her in a patrol vehicle to calm down and wait for EMS.
