AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF)- Three people were found dead inside of an Augusta home Sunday afternoon.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 1 p.m. to a home on the 600 block of Bennock Mill Road for a welfare check.

When they got there, officers found three people dead inside.

The Coroner’s Office along with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene.

The identities of the victims are not known and will not be released until their families are notified.

Autopsies have been scheduled through the coroners office.

The deaths are under investigation.
