MILTON, Wis. -- The School District of Milton will hold a community grocery drive in response to the expected interruption of the federal SNAP program.
"Milton Meals Matter," will kick off on Saturday, Nov. 8. through Sunday Nov. 9. Milton families are encouraged to pack a bag of non-perishable grocery items, and place it on their porch by 3 p.m. And turn on their porch light. Participants are asked to check the Milton Food Pantry's wish list to see the most needed items. Staff and student volunteers will travel through the neighborhoods to collect items.
The community grocery drive is coordinated through Milton High School's student service groups, athletic teams, and staff to support Red Hawk families.
