Chase Briscoe , a native of Mitchell, Indiana, took third in the 2025 NASCAR Cup championship standings after finishing 18th in the season finale Sunday, Nov. 2, at Phoenix International Raceway.

Four drivers entered the race with a chance at the title. Kyle Larson finished third in the race, taking the championship. Denny Hamlin was sixth in the race and second in the championship. William Byron crashed with less than 10 laps to go and wound up 33rd in the race and fourth in the standings.

The caution prompted by Byron's crash pushed the race into overtime, and all three remaining contenders pitted for tires. Briscoe lost track position.

Ryan Blaney won the 312-lap race on the 1-mile oval.
