The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in 11 innings Saturday in Game 7, earning their second straight World Series championship. While most of the players were celebrating the final play, Dodgers star pitcher Clayton Kershaw appeared oblivious to what had transpired.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was running out of trusted pitching options, and during the 11 th inning, he had Kershaw begin warming up in the bullpen. On the final play of the game, Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts turned a game-ending double play. He scooped up the ball hit by Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk, stepped on second for the first out and fired to first to complete the turn.
