Laurier returns to Yates Cup final
Chatham’s Darion Bacik-Hadden ran five times for 29 yards and caught a five-yard pass in the Laurier Golden Hawks’ 37-30 win over the Guelph Gryphons in an OUA football semifinal Saturday in Waterloo. Article content Article content Article content
OUA leading receiver Ethan Jordan of Chatham didn’t play for the Golden Hawks because of an injury.
The Gryphons roster includes linebacker Lachlan Burke of Chatham.
The defending champion Golden Hawks will host the Queen’s Gaels for the Yates Cup Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Gaels beat the Windsor Lancers 36-25 in the other semifinal in Windsor. Tilbury’s Dylan Simpson had two solo and three assisted tackles for the Lancers.
