A new Deputy President Judge has been announced on Monday morning to head the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET), with Jodie Carrel promoted into the role from her former position as Managing Commissioner.
The promotion was prompted by the announcement of the upcoming retirement of SAET Deputy President Judge Brian Gilchrist in March next year.
Judge Gilchrist is retiring after 31 years of judicial service, having sat in a range of jurisdictions, including the Industrial Relations Court of South Australia, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the Licensing Court of South Australia and the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
