Pratika Rawal may have been injured, but she wasn’t going to miss India’s celebrations after their Women’s World Cup triumph. On Sunday, following India’s 52-run win over South Africa at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Pratika rolled out in a wheelchair, proudly draped in the Indian tricolour.

Having been ruled out of the tournament after the Bangladesh match in Navi Mumbai, Pratika said she was overjoyed to be part of the victorious squad. Though she couldn’t feature in the playing XI against the Proteas, she took it in her stride and cherished being part of the team’s historic moment.
