Pickleball courts in North Saanich that have been closed for a year and a half should be torn out, a councillor suggested at a council meeting this week.

Coun. Sanjiv Shrivastava put forward a motion to remove the asphalt surface and fencing of the courts in Wain Park, as council discussed ideas proposed by staff for park upgrades.

One idea put forward by staff was to repurpose the pickleball courts as a multi-sport court.
