Frustration has been growing in Khan Younis, Gaza as Palestinians say the volume of aid trickling in is not enough.

Outside a distribution center, many queue to receive a box of aid.

Inside each parcel are basic staples — cooking oil, a bag of rice, a bag of beans and canned beans.

“Of course, it is not enough to feed us. Our basic needs exceed what this parcel offers,” said Nermeen Tramsi, a displaced woman from Gaza City.

“If we compare this to the aid coming in, it’s nothing,” she added.

“A family needs other items — not just beans and rice.”

Convoys of aid trucks, loaded with cartons and covered with tarps, weave through tents.

Children cheer as the trucks pass.

People load aid parcels onto bicycles; others carry them back home on foot.

A few use carts dragged by donkeys.

Ziad Abu al-Jazar, a displaced man from Rafah, said trucks passed by but no aid was distributed until now.

“We saw nothing. No organization, no international aid, no organization came here and distributed (aid) to us. We just want to know where these cars go?”
