Nine falls sports teams from the Valley qualified for PIAA playoffs in soccer and field hockey, which begin Tuesday.

Three area boys soccer district champions qualified for states — Southern Columbia, Lewisburg and Selinsgrove — while Midd-West also qualified as a district runner-up.
